A multiple vehicle accident caused by a police checkpoint leads to the death of dozens of people, between 25 to 60 persons, burnt alive inside their cars. The tragedy occurs when police blocks the road and flags a trailer belonging to Dangote group, transporting sugar, having a brake failure. As a result, up to 25 vehicles collide, explose and burn. On August 17, death toll is 72 burnt victims. |
