A 25-year-old Jos-based model, Ibrahim Mbaya, popularly known as “Ibee,” was reportedly beaten to death after being accused of stealing a mobile phone. The victim, a graduate of the University of Jos who was still processing an outstanding academic issue, had attended a social event on campus and spent a night at a friend’s residence. The following morning, his friend allegedly accused him of a missing iPhone and called neighbours who mobbed him to death. Rinji Daniel Fwanji (25), Emmanuel Newyear (30), and Nensemka Fwanji (22) were arrested for the crime. |
