A 70-year-old muslim cleric identified as Ladan Malam Zubairu was slaughtered by an unknown assailant while calling muslims to pray. Following the attack, an enraged mob pursued the suspect, lynched him, and set him ablaze. Other reports have it that the assailant cut off part of the cleric's throat after killing him, for ritual purposes. |
